Barbara was fantastic. She greeted us with scones and tea when we first arrived and made us feel welcome.
The most beautiful and peaceful place I have ever been to. It’s good for a weekend getaway in the country side. The rooms were quite nice and clean, the owner is super gentle and welcoming. A five star experience.
Keadyville House is a wonderful spot for a family gathering. Comfortably sleeping our large group of 10. The rooms are delightful and cosy. The kitchen and dining area has fantastic views over the sea and Downpatrick Head. Highly recommended. I look forward to going back.
Barbara was a great host. She had been very thoughtful and well prepared. We didn’t need to ask her anything as everything was well organised and ready for us.
Thank you for making it so pleasing!

I recommend it very close to Downpatrick Head. Room with spectacular view and rocking chair, and Barbara is like a mother.
Barbara was a wonder host, she welcome us with fresh baked scones and homemade jam! The hospitality was off the charts. Barbara has a wonderful home and it was big enough to comfortably accommodate our big group of 10 people. The house is clean and tidy with all the mod con amenities and a big garden as well. Her crockery collection is worth envying! I’d highly recommend this bnb for big groups or families.
From the moment we met Barbara and Michael we felt at home. We were very grateful for the local information which enabled my wife to locate a distant cousin. Our room had a fabulous view of Downpatrick head where we saw a fantastic sunset.
We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this house especially if you would like to visit the Ceide Fields and Downpatrick Head.

Barbara and Michael were lovely hosts – from our arrival with very welcome hot tea and cake and a nice chat. We felt really at home and very comfortable. The house is lovely and very well run. The most memorable thing was how ‘ at home’ I felt. I would definitely recommend Keadyville House. Also the area is gorgeous and Barbara has a wealth of knowledge and pride in her area. Ballycastle is a lovely village – very clean and very friendly. Its the kind of place you want to go back to !
Keadeyville House was an excellent choice to stay in Ballycastle – very welcoming and lovely friendly hosts. Accommodation very good and view was magnificent. Thanks Mrs Kelly and family for the lovely time – we enjoyed our time chatting with you all and your warm Irish welcome.

Keadyville House is a real gem. Authentic Irish hospitality at its best.
The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotlessly clean and spacious. The rest of the house equally so. Great location too.
Barbara and Michael have thought of everything; from the stunning mirrors handmade by a local artist, and the little trinkets and touches to make you feel like you really are staying in a home from home.
Barbara herself is a pleasure, nothing is too much trouble for her. She is personable, friendly and warm. The perfect host.

Blown away by gorgeous house. Wonderful hosts Barbara n Michael. Nothing too big or small to ask for. Great cead mile failte (of course this region not for this n they did not disappoint). Tea cake n great chat on arrival. Beautiful room. Fantastic view over north mayo coastline with down Patrick head n even Ox mountains. Umbrella provided, ice pack for you knee. Barbara was even going to get me a pill from relative until I found mine! House beautifully decorated n spotless.
Hopefully we will be back. Go raibh mile Maith agaibh!

We stayed in Keadyville House for two nights and loved it, our room was enormous with a powerful hot shower, comfortable bed and lovely views across the North Mayo coast.
Barbara knows every nook and cranny in the area and can recommend lovely walks and drives as well as places to eat. Ballycastle (and the surrounding area) is very scenic but for some reason, it’s not on the tourist trail and it really should be.
Downpatrick Head should be as famous as the Cliffs of Moher and it’s just 10 minutes from Keadyville, it’s quite special but not for those with vertigo!
